Reverend Phelps Disease Spreading

A mother of a fallen soldier(Mrs Sheehan, has taken position at the ranch of the President in order to protest the death of her son. It seems she has been struck with Moron-isitus, also called the Reverend Phelps Disease. This disease can be identified by its ability to make normal people turn into complete morons. Symptoms include not being able to accurately place the blame for unfortunate events. Believed to be brought on by stress and liberalism, the only cure is a slap to the face or a kick in the butt. Try to avoid people with Reverend Phelps Disease, as it might be contagious and cause you to displace the blame for things that have happened to you. You can recognize someone with this disease by the fact that people with this disease tend to group together and the signs that they hold blame the death of soldiers on anyone but terrorists.

The mom may have a point. George Bush may have actually pulled the trigger. What? He didn't? It was an insurgent? Oh. My advice to mom is to enjoy a nice, cool glass of shut the hell up.

BTW, First!

Seems like dishonoring his service and his wishes to me. He joined up to fight, he faught terrorism, he gave the ultimate gift. Can't she just let everyone be grateful to him and mourn the loss?

I don't get it.

Sorry that her son died serving the country... but the old hag is doing some stupid shit. Good luck to her in the Texas heat... it is a balmy 98 degrees today with a lot of humidity....stupid bitch. Why doesn't she blame Jib Jib and his fucking man dress wearing buddies for her son's death. FUCKERS!

I find this as disturbing as Nick Berg's father blaming Bush for his son's beheading. What a sad self-recriminating way to mis-direct grief and anger. How many American civilians' lives have been saved in this country, because her son took the war to the scum that started it?

Being a parent, I sympathize with the woman, however, her son did VOLUNTEER to join the military, just as everyone else who is in it did.

My brother is a Marine and understood the consequences when signing upon the dotted line. Nobody forced him into it...

I hope the soldier's mother comes to terms with her son's death, and instead of disrespecting him in death as she is now, she'll honor him for giving the ultimate sacrifice - his life.

I'm even more impressed by this soldier's service, and his triumph over a moronic upbringing. This mother didn't just wake up one morning and start acting like a twit.

Casey Sheehan, thank you for your service. And thank you for rising above what you were raised with.

I am always astounded when people mentiond "extremist Christians" and toss out names like Falwell and Robertson, yet they never drop Phelps' name.

Why is that?

Maybe because he consistently runs for office AS A DEMOCRAT?

Theocracy!
