I Might

I might have to rant today. It seems that a mental institution has released its patients all at once. There has been a rise in wackiness in the last few days on a lot of blogs I read. Anywho, I’ll work on it and post it later. For now I want everyone to discuss a good stand alone RPG for the pc I can play while my wife is playing Sims2 on the PS2. I need something to do while that’s going on.

Half Life 2 is FIRST! on my list.
Awesome graphic, cool stuff, intelligently designed.

YOu have to figure stuff out, not just blast away.
However, there is plenty of blasting to do too!!

I'm thinking I need a true RPG and not a firsxt person shooter. Something I can pause, save and quit at anytime without having to restart from an earlier point.

Half Life 2
Call of Duty 2

In that order. Although I play Counter Strike Source everyday.

Oh you said RPG?

Then World of Warcraft is what you want.

My bad.
HL2 is addictive though.

Any of the Baldur's Gate collection..

Any Elder Scrolls..

BTW they let me out of the institution early but they only actually told me about medication today so I've been rather wacky recently LOL. Hopefully today I'm sane but I can't guarantee that either.

Doc, your comment section on the 13 post is not working, maybe my end I don't know. Hey, I know I'm small potatoes here but you could join my map since I've joined yours and then I could work on some of my Peeps to join your map! You know scratch mine I'll scratch yours!! (wyatt, try to contain yourself now!)

Hey DPT,

Maybe try "Rise of Nations"? That's what I'm playin right now. It's conquer the world by building armies, swinging deals with other nations, declare war or create allies. One scenario is the cold war. Another, Napoleon, etc etc. Or you can start in the ancient age and progress through time upm to the modern era. I'm gonna kick the worlds ass!

Civilization (whatever number they're on now) is a fun game. I started out on the original. The Baldur's Gate games are fun, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale (I and II), and just about anything from D&D.

Some great suggestions, you should try them all!

Any of the Elder Scrolls series can eat up tons of time.

You may also try Civilization IV. If you're more into war games, there's Starcraft.

Those are the three sets of titles that have eaten up more of my time than any others.
